LightTime is presently prototyping its MEMs Ladar technologies as the basis for a compact and lightweight, field deployable 3D real-time camera, MemScan TM . The production version of this iteration is optimized for short ranges (1 to 120 meters). However, it embodies several design innovations scalable to longer-range LADAR applications. The key design element is the enablement of MEMS scanning where special optics increase the MEMS mirror’s native scanning range from a few degrees to a full 40 degrees. LightTime intends to make this camera available as an OEM unit.
Design features include:
- Real time 3D imaging (range and xy-intensity)
- Miniature system. Without batteries/converter: <50cm3, <250g
- Proprietary scanning design that is low/undetectable
- Eye safe
Applications include all forms of transportation vehicle safety, geographic measurements,
military target: detection / recognition / acquisition / and surveillance.
